Using Draw.io and Pixlr

For this assignment, I used Draw.io to create original diagrams (outlines) to explore balance, an art and design principle. Then, I used Pixlr to edit the diagrams by adding colors, filters, and other details.

​Images (pre- and post-editing) are embedded side by side below to show the various ways of achieving asymmetrical balance visually.

Place a larger form next to a small one.

Use dark values with light values.

Have a textured form with a smooth one.

Have a complex form with a simple one.

Place two or more smaller forms with one large form.

Use a smaller, darker form with a larger lighter form.

Place objects toward the edge or corner of the composition.

Have intense colors with muted ones.
